Years Of Silence Pass And Then Garfunkel Approaches Simon On Stage

It doesn’t matter if you grew up in the 1960s or not, you are likely familiar with some of the classic music that comes from that era. Some of the best of that music is from the legendary duo, Simon and Garfunkel. More than likely, you have not only heard their songs, you sang along with them in the car and may have even done them in the shower.

One of the Simon and Garfunkel songs that is perhaps better known than any other is the Sound of Silence. These musical artists come together in the best way possible with their voices to perform this song and when you hear it, regardless of whether it is a recording or live, it is difficult not to get goosebumps. Now you get the opportunity to hear it in this concert.

It’s hard to believe that it was back in 1964 that Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel released the song for the first time. Since 1964, it has been played so many times on the radio and through people’s various electronic devices, it is difficult to know how many times it was actually played. One thing is certain, this song was able to transcend the generation gap and young and old are able to appreciate when their harmonious voices joined together. It seems as if the passing of time has not changed their abilities one bit.

Although Simon and Garfunkel may have a few years of experience behind them, it doesn’t mean that they are anywhere near finished. In fact, as soon as you hear the guitar playing the familiar tune in this concert, you will begin to get goosebumps immediately. Enjoy this song for all that it has to offer, it is still is awesome as the day they released it.
