David Bowie Stood Before An Audience And Sang THIS Classic Song. I Got Chills.

Singers come in almost every possible form that you could imagine. Some are quite good and they may get the opportunity to perform in front of a crowd on occasion. Others tend to be closet singers, who may or may not be good but they certainly do sing in the shower. Another classification is those who are good, have incredible talent and breakthrough to really make something of a music career. That is the case with David Bowie.

When it comes to David Bowie, many of us could listen to his music over and over again. That is the case with one of his songs, Heroes. It is one of his legendary songs and it was first released in 1977 after it was written by David Bowie and Brian Eno. More than likely, we have also heard this song many times but I don’t hear many people complaining about that fact.

This song has a back story that many people don’t know about but it is one that is quite interesting. It was written during a time in David Bowie’s life that is known as the “Berlin Period.” During that time, the song was quite popular in that area but it didn’t gain much traction in the United States, nor was it extremely popular in the UK. When you look at the numbers, however, it was his second most popular song after his other piece of music that you will, no doubt, recognize, Rebel Rebel. Most of us would never tire of hearing it.

Unfortunately, David Bowie is no longer with us after having passed away more than a year ago. Even though he is not making new music, we still have the opportunity to listen to these old classics and to remember all that he provided for us during the time that he was singing.
