Salma Hayek Keeps It Real With An Amazing Act Of Humanity

Most of us recognize Salma Hayek, if not by name, at least by face. She is a Hollywood actress and has played in some rather high profile roles but when she is out on her own, is she still a person that is worthy of note? You actually might be surprised what type of person she is, and it showed when she was on the trip to Sierra Leone. She was filming in a remote village and she came across a mother who had a one week old baby and he was not getting milk.

That is when she did the most amazing thing. Without hesitating, she took the baby from the mother and offered her own breast to the child. She had a daughter that was a year old at the time and was being weaned. Since she was still producing milk, she knew that she could provide what the child needed.

Salma Hayek is perhaps best known as being an actress but she is also a producer and at one time, she was a model as well. She got her career started in 1989 and since that time, she has be involved in a number of movies and television shows, even winning a few awards, including a nomination for an Emmy Award. She is also quite involved in her charity work, including raising awareness for violence against women and has testified before the U.S. Senate committee on the subject. It should come as no surprise, then, that she would care for a child in a way that only a mother could.

When you really look at someone in her position, you begin to wonder if the fame and fortune has gone to their head. When you see that she does such an unselfish act without hesitating, however, you realize that she is a wonderful person.
